Summer Institute

Workshop Dates for 2008:

Training is required for the MSL to visit your school. This summer, we are planning two workshops for science teachers (grades 5-12) who wish to have the Mobile Science Lab come to their school.

Schools are encouraged to send more than one science teacher, although a single teacher from a school can also apply. Teachers who did not attend a training last year but whose school had a MSL visit are also encouraged to apply. Teachers who are selected to attend this workshops will:

• receive extensive training on the lab activities and use of the equipment aboard the MSLs;
• receive a $400 stipend;
• be eligible for a visit by the MSL to their school during the 2008-2009 school year;
• receive free room and board for the week;
• have the opportunity for 2 graduate credits at reduced tuition , or 2 certificate renewal credits.
